Moon Phases for the Month Of September 2014

         First Quarter:  Tuesday, September 2nd at 7:11 am

Full Moon:  Monday, September 8th at 9:38pm

Last Quarter:  Monday, September 15th at 10:05 pm

New Moon:  Wednesday, September 24th at 2:14 am


Sunday, September 21st

The planet Mercury will pass close to the bright star, Spica, in the constellation Virgo.  Seems it will be tough to see for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, but maybe worth a shot if you are out.

Monday, September 22nd at 10:29 pm EST.

The AUTUMNAL EQUINOX occurs!  We in the northern hemisphere, are officially moving toward Winter.  The sun passes across the equator into the southern hemisphere, where they will start moving toward Summer.
